Upright meaning
Tiwaz shows up when there's a fight worth fighting. Not a fight for your own gain, but for what's actually fair and right. There might be a conflict or challenge ahead, and this rune says: hold your ground, act with integrity, don't cut corners.
How this turns out will depend a lot on whether you act with honesty and fairness — not just whether you 'win'. Do the right thing even if it costs you something. That's what Tiwaz is about.
Victory is possible. But it has to be earned the right way.
Reversed meaning
Reversed Tiwaz points to something unfair going on — a situation where the scales aren't balanced, or where someone (maybe even you) isn't playing it straight.
Are you backing down from something you know is right because the fight feels too costly? Or are you being pushed to make a sacrifice that isn't actually yours to make?
This rune in reverse asks you to check whether what's being demanded of you is genuinely just — or whether you've been pressured into accepting something that isn't right.
